Settings: Image window
- Image size
- Scale down large images to fit onto screen
Some image may be too large to fit onto your screen: resize them automatically to fit.
- Scale up smaller images to
- fit screen
Enlarge all smaller than screen size images, to fill the entire screen
- minimum width of .... pixels
Set the minimum display width in pixels of the image
- minimum height of .... pixels
Set the minimum display height in pixels of the image
- Maintain original aspect ratio
When checked, the image window will always maintain the aspect ratio (width relative to height) of the image. This option can also be changed realtime in the menu of the image window.
- Image information
The following options can also be changed realtime in the menu of the image window.
- Display overlay text
Display the overlay text in each corner of the image window. This text hold information about the patient and image/run you are viewing.
- Display curve
Display curve data when present in the Dicom header of the image/run.
- Display ROI
Display Region of Interest data when present in the Dicom header. Set to all to display them all, first to display the first only or none to display none.
NB. When an image is rotated or flipped, this will always be displayed in the bottom-left corner, regardless of the settings above.
- Measurements
- Display measurement in pixel too
When you have calibrated, measurements will be in millimeters. Check this to display the pixels as well.
- Image palette
The following options can also be changed realtime in the menu of the image window.
- Auto stretch
Apply an automatic brightness and contrast function. This will ignore any values found in the image header.
- Invert image
Automatically invert the image after loading.
- Apply rainbow colours
Automatically apply a rainbow-colour pattern to the palette.
- Window display
- Always display image windows on TOP
When checked, the image windows will have the 'on top' property. This may lead to problems op popup windows not being visible anymore.
When unchecked, you will receive a warning when the viewer detects any image window behind the overview window. This is meant to not letting you forget the possible huge amounts of data and/or possible processor demanding runs (f.e. angiograms). This last feature can also be switched off, see resource settings.

Create uncompressed AVI's
- Default codecs
Always leave this option checked unless you know what you are doing. Different codecs may lead to crashes of the viewer.
If you uncheck this, the 'Choose codec' button is enabled. You can now choose a different codec/compressor. You may now be presented with an error message. If so, you cannot use this codec: choose another
- Area tool, line thickness
Choose the intial line thickness of the area tool. The line thickness can also be changed after an area is defined. See Area/surface measurement
